We resisted all these years, but finally Silvanos is offering E-6 processing. Oddly enough, we started this company over 50 years ago processing Ferrania Chromes and Ansco Chromes. So Why Now? Well, we've seen many Photo Labs that were offering E-6 services either exit the competion or discontinue these services due to low demand. At the same time, we are receiving many requests from clients who are still looking for these services. So after many internal discussions, we've bit the bullet and have gone retro. We've installed a Sitte Tischer DL-10 Dip and Dunk Processor to accomodate this service.
We process
E-6 color transparency films according
to manufacturer specifications. Films are processed in automatic machines
where temperature, time, agitation and replenishment are electronically
controlled. Our E-6 processor is constantly monitored.
Push processing involves giving the film longer time in the developer (to compensate for
under-exposure). We can push process up to 2 stops at an additional fee of $8.99 per batch. Pull processing involves giving the film shorter time in the developer (to compensate for
over-exposure). We can pull process up to 1 stop at an additional fee of $8.99 per batch.
For Cross-processing
of E-6 (transparency) films in C-41 chemistry see our Film Processing section.
We can produce 4x6 Proofs from 35mm E-6 films at time of processing. The uncut rolls are scanned and printed digitally. We can also offer 18MB (uncompressed) scans (Sorry, no Digital ICE) to jpegs on CD at the time of processing. For larger scans, please see our Negative/Transparency Scans section.
Kodachrome films are sent to the U.S. for processing and may take up to a 2 week turnaround. We are unable to accept infrared E-6 films or Agfa Scala (B&W) films.
