Choose between 60 and 120 images (Negs or Digital files)
to make up your 40 page Album. In the Wedding Story Album,
there are certain shots you want to capture. While this varies somewhat
between Weddings of different Religious backgrounds and Cultures, here is a list of some of the more common Wedding "money shots". |

Next, choose from the different Series 1, Series 2 and Series
3 Layouts (each layout is a 2 page spread). You can use 20 different
Layouts, repeat the same Layout 20 times or anything in between those
2 extremes. Please choose correctly proportioned
images for your Layouts. For example, in Series 1 Layout
8 (further down this page), we have square image nodes. So, horizontal Full frame
35mm group shots wouldn't work for this Layout. In the examples below, we
are using Series 1 Layouts.
Many Series
1 and 2 Layouts have a Background image. The same background is usually maintained throughout the Wedding Story
Album (But Hey - feel free to break these rules, if you'd like). See the Backgrounds pdf file to see choices. |

For Digital Photographers
who prefer to produce their own layouts/designs, we can print from your completed Digital Files. If you'd like
to produce your own layouts, please supply us with jpegs sized to 20"wide
by 14.6"high at 250ppi to 300 ppi. Please keep in mind that we'll trim the layout
to a final size of 20"wide by 14"high, so you'll lose .3"
at the top and bottom of each layout. |

Its time to design your Album. If you're working with Digital images, you can drag and drop images
into all our layouts with our S.O.S. system. If you're
working with negs, you can fill out the order forms (you can also use the order forms to help you plan how to lay out your Album).
For example, many photographers use Layout 1 for pages
1 & 2 because it has a text area for names and the wedding date along
with an image of the Bride & Groom. To see the available typefaces for
the names, click here. We're not changing any images to B&W or Sepia (in this instance), so we'll leave the B & S boxes blank. Working from negs, this is what we'd fill in the order form: |

So far, so
good. Let's try another example. Because we're telling the Story of the
Wedding Day, we're going to proceed in chronological order. For pages 3
& 4, we've got some images from before the ceremony of the Bride with
her Mom and with the Maid of Honour as well as the Groom with his Sister
and the Best Man. They're all from color neg, but we're going to convert
the Groom's images to B&W. We've also decided to keep a consistent background
throughout this album. Here's what we fill in: |

For our third
example, we'll use images from a Wedding where we were given jpegs. We'll use Series 1 Layout 23, where (as with Layouts 22, 31-36), we can change the background portion
of our image to B&W or Sepia. Here, we'll choose Sepia 1 (you can choose between 3 different Sepias). Of course, this can be done by dragging and dropping images with our S.O.S. system, but here's what we could put down on our Order form: |

Once you've filled out the order forms or populated the layouts in S.O.S., its time to choose a cover.
We now have our Bonded Leather (with or without an inset photo), Metro and Chapparal Leathers, Fabric and Photo-Wraparound covers. If you are using the S.O.S. system, tell us what kind of cover you'd
like, which image you'd like to use and what text you'd like in the Special
Instructions section. Please see our Covers sections for up-to-date choices. |

If you're working with negs, send the completed forms, along with
negs to Silvanos. If you're working with Digital images, please send
your order through the S.O.S. system. We do all the
rest, including Color Correction, File Assembly, Printing, Lamination, Mounting and Binding.
Before
we print your final Wedding Story Album, you can request an approval image in
one of 2 ways. For $25 we'll print a 20" page that has
all 20 2-page Layouts (sized to approximately wallet size). Or, for $15, we offer an web-based version of
the approval pages, that you can view in your browser (and e-mail us back
to approve or request changes). |
| |
|
| 7 |
Once the pages have been approved, we can
go ahead with Final Printing, Lamination, Mounting and Binding. This process usually
takes between 6 - 10 working days. |

Enjoy your Wedding Story Album. |
